Acceptable Use Policy

Oja lets African creators sell digital products through one shareable link, with each payment settling directly to the seller's own bank account via Paystack. This policy sets out what may and may not be sold or done on Oja. By creating a store you agree to it.

Who may sell

• You must be able to enter a binding contract and to lawfully sell what you list.
• You must provide accurate account details and a valid Nigerian bank account, which is verified through Paystack before your store can take payments.
• One person or business is responsible for each store and everything sold through it.

What you can sell

Lawful digital products that you own or are licensed to distribute — for example ebooks and guides, templates and design files, photography and presets, software and digital art, and access to a course or community. Delivery is a file download or an access link, provided automatically once payment succeeds.

Prohibited products and content

You may not use Oja to sell, distribute or promote:

• Anything illegal under Nigerian law or the buyer's local law.
• Content that infringes intellectual property — pirated, cracked, resold-without-licence, or counterfeit material.
• Sexually explicit material, and any content that exploits or endangers minors.
• Hate speech, harassment, or content promoting violence or terrorism.
• Weapons, drugs, or other regulated or controlled goods.
• Malware, phishing kits, stolen data or credentials, or tools primarily for fraud or hacking.
• Regulated financial products, securities, gambling, lotteries, or investment schemes.
• Multi-level marketing, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, or "get rich quick" offers.
• Personal or sensitive data offered without a lawful basis.
• Anything prohibited by Paystack or the card networks.

Prohibited conduct

• Fraud, misrepresenting a product, or failing to deliver what a buyer paid for.
• Money laundering, sanctions evasion, or processing payments on behalf of an undisclosed third party.
• Using Oja to take payment for prohibited goods listed elsewhere.
• Abusing the checkout, coupon, or delivery systems, or attempting to bypass fees.
• Interfering with the platform's security or other stores.

Enforcement

Where we reasonably believe a store breaches this policy, Oja may remove listings, and suspend the store — which immediately stops it from taking new payments. Because payments settle directly to sellers and Oja holds no funds, enforcement is about access to the platform, not withholding money. Serious cases may be reported to Paystack and to the relevant authorities.

We may update this policy as Oja evolves. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
